Rev. Dr. Jason Garwood | Religious Exemption Letter for Vaccines
Due to the incredible amount of people asking for my religious exemption letter (yes, I’m well aware that my Christian religion exempts me from all sorts of tyrannical nonsense), I thought it would be prudent to put it up here on the blog so folks can use it as a point of reference should they choose to do so. Please note that since we care an awful lot about pronouns these days, you’ll want to make sure you change those throughout as well. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Rev. Dr. Jason Garwood and I am writing today on behalf of FIRST AND LAST NAME to advocate for him [OR HER] as I understand you may require a religious exemption letter from a religious leader. As an Elder/Pastor in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, I trust you will honor this request knowing that it comes from deeply held religious convictions as it pertains to vaccination. I want to outline the logic behind the biblical/Christian position:
- The Bible states in 1 Corinthians 6:19-22 that my body is considered the temple of the Holy Spirit and due to the abhorrent ingredient list issued by the CDC, I cannot, in good conscience, participate in the vaccination program. To receive any vaccine would violate this Scripture and basic Christian doctrine, and thus desecrate my “temple/body.”
- The Bible also states in Genesis 1:27 that we as humans are made in the image of God, which presupposes that our bodies have legitimate systems in place to handle viral or bacterial infection and/or disease. It is my religious conviction that the immune system God has created with both a cell-mediated response and humoral response, is sufficient and does not need any “help” from alchemist “scientists” who still have yet to provide the people of the United States with a double-blind, placebo-controlled testing of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated. (As a result, vaccine efficacy is in serious question for which the CDC et. al., has not provided sufficient evidence).
- The Bible, which is my ultimate authority for faith and life, states in 1 Corinthians 2:5 that following God in all matters pertaining to life (including health, etc.) requires me to trust him first and foremost.
- The Bible teaches in 1 Corinthians 2:15 that “the spiritual person judges [discerns] all things but is himself to be judged by no one.” This means that I have the God-given right to discern and judge for myself, without coercion, the things I put in my body. Basic Christian doctrines say that no one is permitted to coerce me into violating my conscience.
I repeat, for further emphasis: To participate in any vaccine program, especially the COVID-19 vaccination program, is morally reprehensible, and would be, in the most serious of manner, an egregious breach of conscience and religion. [NAME] shares this belief.
The excipients list provided by the Center for Disease Control demonstrates the “unclean” nature of vaccines. Aluminum, thimerosal (mercury), formaldehyde, polysorbate 80, and strands of proteins from aborted fetal cells are among the chief culprits for why my religious beliefs declare the unclean and immoral nature of the vaccine program, especially the COVID-19 vaccine program (see Job 14:4).
Religious convictions do not necessitate cross-examination and voluminous explanation. I have stated very clearly that my Christian convictions regarding the safety and efficacy of vaccines puts me at odds with the vaccine schedule. The excipient list provided by the CDC, which demonstrates the toxicity of the vaccine program, is morally repugnant and violates my conscience and religious convictions in a most grievous way. To inject foreign substances in my body violates the basic tenants of my Christian faith.
Regarding medical experiments and procedures, the first point of the ten points of the Nuremberg Code specify the nature of individual choice regarding the practice of medicine: “The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.”
Biblical religion is one of individual freedom and responsibility to protect life and prevent injury, and it rejects coercion being the means of administering medicine. I repeat for further emphasis: [NAME’S] deeply held religious beliefs do not allow him to participate in the COVID-19 vaccine program, and to do so would be a reprehensible violation of both doctrine and conscience.
While it is possible that [NAME] may or may not have allowed in the past for vaccines to be injected into his person, this in no way gives carte blanche permission for this exemption to be rejected and for your organization to force him to take them again. A person’s change in conviction when light is shed on a doctrine means that a person is now in a position to do better, for newly acquired ethical conviction happens all of the time. [NAME’S] conviction on the matter has awakened his conscience and to go back on this would be detrimental to his faith.
Therefore, [NAME] is exercising his rights under Title VII of the Federal Civil Rights Law of 1964, section 12, to receive a religious exemption to immunizations due to his genuine and sincere religious beliefs.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Rev. Dr. Jason M. Garwood

I, (Name) ______________________________, the undersigned do hereby swear and affirm that I am a member of a recognized religious organization, and that the immunizations required by (Governing Authority Name) _______________________, are contrary to our religious tenets and practices. On this basis, as the above referenced immunization requirements violate our right to freely exercise our religion as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution of The United States of America, I am asserting my rights to an exemption from (Governing Authority/School’s Name) ______________________________ immunization requirements.
I qualify for this exemption based on the following:
1) First Amendment of the United States Constitution
2) Many private schools receive funding from the federal government (i.e. school lunch or breakfast programs, remedial assistance to schools with low-income students, technology grants…). When private schools accept this money, they have to obey important federal anti-discrimination laws. 42 U.S. Code § 2000a – Prohibition against discrimination or segregation in places of public accommodation, which states “All persons shall be entitled to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any place of public accommodation, as defined in this section, without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, or national origin.”
3) COVID-19 injections have not been FDA approved. They are experimental and are only approved for “Emergency Use Authorization” (EUA). Clinical trials are ongoing and will not be completed until late 2022 and 2023, making it illegal to order anyone to get inoculated. In order for injections to be mandatory, legislation must be passed. The CDC has also noted that it is illegal and unethical to mandate EUA vaccinations.
Failure to uphold 42 U.S. Code § 2000a and any attempt to coerce an individual to get the Covid-19 vaccine at this time is a violation of federal law and may be met with legal action.

The Rutherford Institute | Requesting Religious Accommodation in the Face of COVID-19 Vaccine
Workplace Mandate
Dear [Name of Human Resources Officer or other appropriate supervisor]:
On [set forth date], I and other employees of [name of employer] were notified that all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof thereof or face
termination of our employment. This letter will serve as my formal notice to [name of employer] of the following:
Receiving the COVID-19 vaccination would violate my sincerely-held religious beliefs, practices and/or observances. The following is a description of my religious beliefs that prevent
me from receiving the COVID-19 vaccination: [include here a description of your religious beliefs in opposition to receiving the vaccine. If possible, include references to religious texts or
statements by leaders of your religion supporting your opposition, although neither are necessary to support a sincerely-held religious belief]. Under established law, including the U.S.
Constitution, the definition of religion is broad and protects beliefs, practices, and observances which may be unfamiliar, so an employer must assume that an employee’s statement of objection
to a vaccination requirement is based on a sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance.
Because receiving the COVID-19 vaccination would violate my sincerely-held religious beliefs, I hereby request an accommodation of those beliefs with respect to the recently-imposed vaccination requirement. Under Title VII of the federal civil rights laws, an employer may not discharge or otherwise discriminate against an individual because of the individual’s religion. 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a)(1). As the U.S. Supreme Court has held, this law requires an employer to seek to accommodate an employee whenever there is a conflict between a requirement of the employment and the employee’s religious beliefs, practices or observances. Trans World Airlines, Inc. v. Hardison, 432 U.S. 63 (1977). An accommodation that fully eliminates the conflict with my religious beliefs must be provided unless any and all accommodations would impose an undue hardship. To the extent the law of the [State or Commonwealth where employed] imposes a similar duty to accommodate the religious beliefs, practices or observances of employees, I hereby invoke any and all rights under state law as well.
Having formally notified [name of employer] of the conflict between the COVID-19 vaccination requirement and my religious beliefs, I look forward to receiving in a prompt and timely manner your decision on what accommodation you will provide. Failing that, I reserve my right to pursue legal remedies available to me with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or otherwise in accordance with established law.
Sincerely yours,

NoVaxMandate | Employee to Employer Letter
Dear Boss,First, I request a religious exemption. Each of the manufacturers of the Covid vaccines currently available developed and confirmed their vaccines using fetal cell lines, which originated from aborted fetuses. ( https://lozierinstitute.org/an-ethics-assessment-of-covid-19-vaccine-programs/ ) For example, each of the currently available Covid vaccines confirmed their vaccine by protein testing using the abortion-derived cell line HEK-293. ( https://lozierinstitute.org/an-ethics-assessment-of-covid-19-vaccine-programs/ ) Partaking in a vaccine made from aborted fetuses makes me complicit in an action that offends my religious faith. As such, I cannot, in good conscience and in accord with my religious faith, take any such Covid vaccine at this time. In addition, any coerced medical treatment goes against my religious faith and the right of conscience to control one’s own medical treatment, free of coercion or force. Please provide a reasonable accommodation to my belief, as I wish to continue to be a good employee, helpful to the team.
Equally, compelling any employee to take any current Covid-19 vaccine violates federal and state law, and subjects the employer to substantial liability risk, including liability for any injury the employee may suffer from the vaccine. Many employers have reconsidered issuing such a mandate after more fruitful review with legal counsel, insurance providers, and public opinion advisors of the desires of employees and the consuming public. Even the Kaiser Foundation warned of the legal risk in this respect. (https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/issue-brief/key-questions-about-covid-19-vaccine-mandates/)
Three key concerns: first, informed consent is the guiding light of all medicine, in accord with the Nuremberg Code of 1947; second, the Americans with Disabilities Act proscribes, punishes and penalizes employers who invasively inquire into their employees’ medical status and then treat those employees differently based on their perceived medical status, as the many AIDS related cases of decades ago fully attest; and third, international law, Constitutional law, specific statutes and the common law of torts all forbid conditioning access to employment, education or public accommodations upon coerced, invasive medical examinations and treatment, unless the employer can fully provide objective, scientifically validated evidence of the threat from the employee and how no practicable alternative could possible suffice to mitigate such supposed public health threat and still perform the necessary essentials of employment. As one federal court just recently held, the availability of reasonable accommodations like accounting for prior infection, antibody testing, temperature checks, remote work, other forms of testing, and the like suffice to meet any institution’s needs in lieu of masks, public shaming, and forced injections of foreign substances into the body that the FDA admits we do not know the long -term effects of.
For instance, the symptomatic can be self-isolated. Hence, requiring vaccinations only addresses one risk: dangerous or deadly transmission, by the asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic employee, in the employment setting. Yet even government official Mr. Fauci admits, as scientific studies affirm, asymptomatic transmission is exceedingly and “very rare.” Indeed, initial data suggests the vaccinated are just as, or even much more, likely to transmit the virus as the asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic. Hence, the vaccine solves nothing. This evidentiary limitation on any employer’s decision making, aside from the legal and insurance risks of forcing vaccinations as a term of employment without any accommodation or even exception for the previously infected (and thus better protected), is the reason most employers wisely refuse to mandate the vaccine. This doesn’t even address the arbitrary self-limitation of the pool of talent for the employer: why reduce your own talent pool, when many who refuse invasive inquiries or risky treatment may be amongst your most effective, efficient and profitable employees?
This right to refuse forced injections, such as the Covid-19 vaccine, implements the internationally agreed legal requirement of Informed Consent established in the Nuremberg Code of 1947. (http://www.cirp.org/library/ethics/nuremberg/ ). As the Nuremberg Code established, every person must “be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision” for any medical experimental drug, as the Covid-19 vaccine currently is.
Second, demanding employees divulge their personal medical information invades their protected right to privacy, and discriminates against them based on their perceived medical status, in contravention of the Americans with Disabilities Act. (42 USC §12112(a).) Indeed, the ADA prohibits employers from invasive inquiries about their medical status, and that includes questions about diseases and treatments for those diseases, such as vaccines. As the EEOC makes clear, an employer can only ask medical information if the employer can prove the medical information is both job-related and necessary for the business. (https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/guidance/questions-and-answers-enforcement-guidance-disability-related-inquiries-and-medical). An employer that treats an individual employee differently based on that employer’s belief the employee’s medical condition impairs the employee is discriminating against that employee based on perceived medical status disability, in contravention of the ADA. The employer must have proof that the employer cannot keep the employee, even with reasonable accommodations, before any adverse action can be taken against the employee. If the employer asserts the employee’s medical status (such as being unvaccinated against a particular disease) precludes employment, then the employer must prove that the employee poses a “safety hazard” that cannot be reduced with a reasonable accommodation. The employer must prove, with objective, scientifically validated evidence, that the employee poses a materially enhanced risk of serious harm that no reasonable accommodation could mitigate. This requires the employee’s medical status cause a substantial risk of serious harm, a risk that cannot be reduced by any another means. This is a high, and difficult burden, for employers to meet. Just look at the all prior cases concerning HIV and AIDS, when employers discriminated against employees based on their perceived dangerousness, and ended up paying millions in legal fees, damages and fines.
Third, conditioning continued employment upon participating in a medical experiment and demanding disclosure of private, personal medical information, may also create employer liability under other federal and state laws, including HIPAA, FMLA, and applicable state tort law principles, including torts prohibiting and proscribing invasions of privacy and battery. Indeed, any employer mandating a vaccine is liable to their employee for any adverse event suffered by that employee. The CDC records reports of the adverse events already reported to date concerning the current Covid-19 vaccine.(https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/vaers.html )
Finally, forced vaccines constitute a form of battery, and the Supreme Court long made clear “no right is more sacred than the right of every individual to the control of their own person, free from all restraint or interference of others.” (https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/141/250)

Liberty Counsel | Employee/Student Exemption Letter
I’m writing to request a medical and religious exemption from [COMPANY NAME’s/COLLEGE NAME’s] COVID shot directive. I have prayed about how to
respond to the COVID shot directive, in light of my [medical issues], and in light of my pro-life and other religious beliefs. I believe my body belongs to God and is the temple
of his Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 6:19-20. I believe that innocent life is sacred to God, from conception, to birth, to natural death. (Jeremiah 1:5). I believe God’s promise that “if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally.” I understand that the manufacturers of the COVID shots have used aborted fetal cell lines as part of their development or testing of vaccines.5 My faith prohibits me from participating in or benefiting from an abortion, no matter how remote in time that abortion occurred.
Jesus said the Holy Spirit will guide each person who repents of their sin and believes upon Him into all truth. As a believer in Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives in me. I have been a Christian for many years. I seek God’s will for my life through prayer, reading the Bible, and relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to help me to do God’s will.
It is against my faith and my conscience to commit sin. Sin is anything that violates the will of God, as set forth in the Bible, and as impressed upon the heart of the believer by the Holy Spirit. In order to keep myself from sin, and receive God’s direction in life, I pray and ask God for wisdom and direction daily. As part of my prayers, I have asked God for direction regarding the current COVID shot requirement. As I have prayed about what I should do, the Holy Spirit has moved on my heart and conscience that I must not accept the COVID shot. If I were to go against the moving
of the Holy Spirit, I would be sinning and jeopardizing my relationship with God and violating my conscience.
I’m therefore asking for an exemption from the COVID shot directive so that my conscience can remain clear before God. Thank you for your consideration.
Gab | Religious Exemption Template For College Students
To whom it may concern,
I am requesting a religious exemption from the University’s vaccine mandate. The Bible tells us that before God formed us in the womb He knew us (Jeremiah 1:5) and that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3-5.)
In Proverbs 6:16-19 God tells us that there are six things the Lord hates and seven that are detestable to Him, one of those being the shed of innocent blood. Psalm 139:13-16 tells us that God knits us together in our mother’s womb and I believe that abortion is a sin.
God cherishes all life in His Creation, including the life of the unborn, and as a Christian I follow and obey God’s Word. I have prayed about this issue and have come to the conclusion that I cannot take this vaccine in good faith.
Each of the manufactures of the Covid vaccines currently available developed and confirmed their vaccines using fetal cell lines, which originated from aborted fetuses.
Partaking in a vaccine that utilized aborted fetuses makes me complicit in an action that offends my religious faith and belief that all life, including the life of unborn children, is sacred and Holy.
In addition, any coerced medical treatment goes against my religious faith and the right of conscience to control one’s own medical treatment, free of coercion or force.
It is my sincere belief that forcing anyone take a vaccine that runs counter to their religious beliefs is unethical, inhumane, and in violation of my Christian faith. When I was a young child I had no say in the matter as to which vaccines were given to me, but as an adult I have made the moral and conscious decision to not partake in any vaccines going forward that utilize fetal cell lines at any stage of development or testing.
Please provide a reasonable accommodation to my belief, as I wish to continue to be a good student and eventually a proud graduate of this institution.
Sincerely,
